Being Prepared in Advance

You might think that doing everything perfectly and never making any mistake will result in your never getting pulled over. That helps, but there's still a chance it will happen.

Statistically speaking, the odds are low, but they're not zero. Why not prepare in advance?

Here are some things you may want to consider doing in order to be as prepared as possible if (when?) you suddenly find yourself being signalled to pull over for a peace officer.

• dedicated audio recording device, low-profile or covert
• dashcam or dedicated video recording device(s), overt
• find out whether the state you're in treats traffic as criminal
• know the names of a few magistrates in the area
